Frederick Denys is a landscape artist born in Texas in 1946; but raised in Utah.  He was educated at the college and university level, but is largely a self-taught artist.

Over the past 40 years, galleries on the East and West coast, along with galleries in the western United States, have represented him.  His paintings hang in collections nation-wide, in Europe, and in Australia.

Denys says his hobbies include growing and building things.  He has a keen interest in cars and currently owns a 1968 Maserati Ghibli, a 1964 Jaguar XKE and Lotus Super 7.  He is an ultra-marathon runner (races over 26 miles) and has run over 30 ultra marathons in the past 25 years.  Most of them are 100-mile mountain races.
